Funny thing about automatic baby swings... some babies love 'em, some hate 'em. Elena is... somewhere in between.

I'm a little more aggressive at putting her in the swing than is Kristi. And I learned an important tip from one of the 494 baby books we have: only put the bambino in when they are already happy, not when they're screaming.



Click on the video to see Elena swing. This particular swing is pretty cool in that it can swing either back and forth or side to side. At the beginning (and in this video), she only liked side to side. But she's warming up to the old back and forth... and actually seemed to prefer it last night. You'll also notice the "nature" sounds... she digs the water and birds. Or maybe that's me that digs them.

Happy Valentine's Day. We're taking E out for lunch and a cupcake. Okay, that's actually all for us... but she's the one who gets all the affection today!
